100% gluten-free AND vegan bakery!
My gluten-free journey started back in 2012 when I was diagnosed with Celiac disease…
I’ve always loved cooking and baking (my mom instilled a love for baking in all 3 of her daughters), but having to cut gluten out of my diet forced me to completely re-learn how to bake.
In addition to being gluten-free, I was also vegan for 10 years and I have a sister who has been vegan for over 15 years, so that is why everything at the bakery is also completely vegan. I try to cater to as many dietary restrictions as possible.
I’m a huge fan of Star Wars and Harrison Ford, and there are Star Wars Easter eggs all over the front of the bakery (and my freezer back in the kitchen has Han Solo in carbonite on it). And when I’m not working, I’m probably at Disneyland or chasing around my 2 little boys (also probably at Disneyland).

Stopped by today for some goodies! Got the death by chocolate cupcakes and chocolate chip cookies. Sadly the french silk pies I’ve heard about have sold out, will continue to seek them out! But the staff are so friendly and it’s a very welcoming environment and of course, everything is delicious! I’ve got a vegan and gluten sensitivity family so having treats for them its wonderful!
Tami HMy husband and I are vegan. We have no allergies and we have zero sensitivities to gluten. When I first heard of this location opening, my thought process was, "Vegan" (--YES!!!), "Gluten-free" (--...oh nooo...), then "Top 9 Allergen-free" (--welp, I guess I'll try it once...), but let me tell you, EVERY SINGLE ITEM at this place is absolutely incredible. We come almost every week. For me, my previous experiences with vegan AND gluten-free desserts = sad and dusty. If a non-vegan shop had a vegan/gluten-free dessert, it really felt like it was to provide their customers with at least one option, and it tasted like they didn't even try to make it taste good. Caring Kitchen is so good that I would recommend it to people who aren't even vegan! I also don't even like frostings but her frostings are super tasty and not overwhelmingly sweet! Another thing I struggle with is coconut-flavored creams and milks, which are often used in vegan desserts, but I don't have this problem at Caring Kitchen!
Amanda MI have been so excited EVERY time I step into the Caring Kitchen - both the Rancho and the Orangevale locations. I am both vegan and gluten-free, and until this bakery came into my life 5 years ago, I was sweet-less and sad. Their sweets, are creative, delicious, and so very satisfying. The staff is always very kind and helpful - they work so hard - and I truly appreciate the joy they have brought to the local vegan & gf (and now, top 9 allergen free) community. Definitely worth the 20 minute drive I have to make to go as frequently as I do!
Terri SLove the goodies here, and I don’t even have allergies. My grand-kiddo has anaphylactic food allergies, and this is first place they’ve been able to safely enjoy a treat. I’m so grateful for this bakery!

SarahThis place is truly a heaven on earth for my food allergy kiddos. The freshly baked cookies, cupcakes, and cake pops are absolutely amazing—nothing like the typical top 9 allergen-free packaged treats you find in grocery stores. My husband and I don’t have any food allergies, and even we love everything we’ve tried so far—especially the coffee cake!
